I've been so busy with my day job, my photography and the girls that the Blog has been neglected!
Well I hope these make up for how bad I am at keeping the Blog up to date. It certainly was a funny sight dragging this beautiful iron daybed out into the field, thankfully it's at the bottom of our garden so we didn't have too far to take it.
We also had a small audience while taking the images by the river, a trio of ducklings and their mum came to watch which fascinated India.
What is it about photographers children..... they don't like to be photographed!!
Maybe it's because the camera is always there, maybe it's because it's them that get to practice that 'must have' pose.
So over the last two evenings I've made it my mission to get some pictures of my twins, together would be amazing one of Tallulah on her own better still - this child will not let me take her picture :)
So after a bit of bribing I took them out into the garden and I FINALLY got a picture of them together both looking at me at the same time! Mission accomplished.
Had the opportunity to photography this gorgeous teen last week, unfortunately the weather wasn't fantastic but that didn't stop Zoe, she was willing to brave the drizzle for me and put up with my strange requests.......climbing onto window ledges or standing on the edge of a fountain in the middle of the town square, all in the name of photography!
This weekend we had my 5 year old daughter's Godfather to stay. He hadn't seen the children for a little over two years and certainly had a surprise at how much they had grown! Anyway I thought it would be great to get some pictures of him and my daughter together. I love this picture, he looks like he's having fun but poor India doesn't look too impressed :)
The things I make my dad do!!
I decided the other evening that I wanted to try my hand at silhouettes. The kids had well and truly had enough of me sticking my camera in their faces and asking a 5 year old and 3 year old twins to jump off a chair was a recipe for disaster.
So I went over to my parents and told them I had a great idea for a photo :). Being the good sport dad is he was great at jumping off the chair again and again and never moaned when I said things like "this time a little higher dad" or " make shapes with your arms and legs".
The result is below. Not perfect by any means but also not bad for a first go. Next time I'll have to get him jumping with a clearer background, the trees are distracting it's true but it sure was fun.
